Overview

CELAVIPierre - by CELAVI Group - was born out of a need to centralize all information related to real estate properties put up for sale. Shipped features include a real-time file property details management, coupled with a complete notification system (in-app and emai) for property reservations, storage of documents procedure steps concerning a specific property, approval of each documents between the owner and the buyer, deadline of documents approval and payments reminder via SMS or email.

Process

A friendly showcase website with a powerful back-office property management system

We built first the showcase website in order to diffuse it to already existing customers of CELAVI Group. The idea was to migrate all on-going deals with existing clients and also prospecting for new people that were looking for a private property to buy or to sell through CELAVIPierre. 

Website showcase features includes mainly a landing presentation page, the group activities and their experiences in the field of the real estate assets management, a blog system and of course a "Contact us" page to get in touch with them.

The back-office system is a well-structured property management system with a buch of CRUDs and cards views : ideal for applying Bootstrap V4 Cards and all other new elements. The internal and email notification system were the most technical parts of the application, as it needed a non-neglecting time for testing to cover all use cases imagined. 

Project duration was about 3 months, enough to put all client specifications and our recommandation as professional from idea to stage.

Challenges and results

Dealing with deadlines is the most challenging part when it comes to build a showcase website and management system behind it from scratch and not with CMS like Wordpress or Drupal. 

I've been wearing the hats of a Project manager and Senior developer at the same time, while working with only one mid-leveled Fullstack developer. 

User Experience researches before tackling the software architecture and development was quite fast comparing to standard ways as we needed to have a "big picture" vision of the main back-office interfaces before starting any development.

First 1 month : Showcase website, back-office property management, contacts management, property product sheet.

From 1 to 2 months : Previous features + in-app & email notification system, property document management.

From 2 to 3 months : Previous features + property document updates and validation by user profiles, property sale / purchase procedure feature, updates on the showcase website.

Impacts & benefits

Time spent on creating a property "product sheet" reduced from 1 hour to 30 min.

Quotation on property resale obtained immediately by email thanks to the setting up of a calculation base on the showcase site (on average 1 hour after receipt of the email, as this was previously done manually by an employee).
